CommonLend uses browser storage — localStorage and sessionStorage — to make the site work and, with your consent, to learn how the site is used. We do not use HTTP cookies. The categories below match the toggles in our cookie banner.
Essential — always active
- Language preference (
localStorage › i18nextLng) — remembers the language you selected. Kept until you clear your browser's site data. - Consent decision (
localStorage › cl-consent-v1) — remembers whether you accepted, rejected, or customised the cookie banner so we don't show it again on every page load. Stores no personal data. - Referral code (
sessionStorage › cl_ref) — if you arrived via a tracked link, the code is held for the duration of your browser tab and read once when you submit the waitlist form. Disappears when you close the tab. - Admin session (
sessionStorage › cl_admin_basic) — only present on the/adminpage, only after a successful sign-in. Stores an encoded credential for the current browser session.
Analytics — opt-in
If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we load our self-hosted Umami instance from analytics.commonlend.com. Umami counts page views and rough device/country signals without setting cookies and without creating any cross-site identifier. We send Do-Not-Track requests through and we never share these events with third parties. Reject this category and the script is not loaded at all.

What we don't store
- No advertising or marketing storage of any kind.
- No third-party tracking pixels.
- No cross-site fingerprinting or behavioural profiling.
How to clear it
Open your browser's Developer Tools, go to Application → Storage, select this site, and click Clear site data. You can also clear site data from your browser's privacy settings.
